OnInOff powered a large-scale interactive installation where visitor movement and behavior were tracked in real time to generate collective visual and sound responses. Using 3D sensors, the system transformed the floor and walls into a responsive canvas, allowing participants to create dynamic audiovisual compositions through their actions and interactions.
OnInOff was used to power the interactive room of Desigual inBeta at Sónar 2019, transforming the floor and walls into a fully responsive environment driven by real-time visitor tracking. The system enabled the interpretation of movement, behavior and collective presence to generate dynamic audiovisual responses across the entire space.
Using 3D sensors, OnInOff tracked visitors as they moved through the room, analyzing motion patterns such as speed, direction and intensity. These parameters were continuously interpreted by the system to create evolving visual and sound outputs, allowing the environment to adapt fluidly to each participant and to the group as a whole.
